A popular erectile dysfunction drug, Viagra, has been seized by the UK MHRA last year.
The UK Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) had been alerted to the drug's presence in the country after receiving complaints from the UK Food and Drug Administration (FDA) about the packaging of the drug.
The MHRA seized the drug on 13 September 2019. According to the MHRA, the product is marketed for erectile dysfunction in men who have tried to get pregnant.
The MHRA says the product contains sildenafil and tadalafil as the active ingredients.
The MHRA is the UK's counterpart to the FDA, which regulates the drugs in the UK and follows the regulations.
The MHRA says Viagra is marketed under the brand name Cialis for erectile dysfunction.
The drug is licensed to be sold by Pfizer, a pharmaceutical company based in the UK.
The MHRA had also received complaints about the packaging of the drug that included the warning about the presence of sildenafil in the packaging.
